Roy J. DiPaola, 78, of Stoneham, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by his children.

Born in Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Andrea and Angelina (Furmentino) DiPaola.

Roy was raised in East Boston.  He was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1965.   He was a retired machinist from Palmer Manufacturing in Malden.  He was a member of the Saugus Knights of Columbus and had enjoyed golfing, gardening, dancing and playing cards.

Roy was the beloved husband of the late Joanne (Giuffre) DiPaola. He was the loving father of Lisa DiPaola of Wakefield, Roy DiPaola and his wife Jane of Peabody and Judy DiPaola of Melrose and her partner Steve Byrne. Dear brother of the late Grace DiFabio.  He is also survived by several nephews and extended family members.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 4-7pm.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am followed by an interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
