Ruby Picano

Ruby M . Picano of Reading, age 82 died Sunday June 19 after a long period of failing health. Born in Somerville on July 23, 1928 the daughter of the late Walter H. & Ruby B. (Wright) DeVenne. She was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She was an avid knitter and quilter. Mrs. Picano had been a Reading resident for the past 59 years.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Picano and the loving mother of Joseph Picano & wife Paula of Reading, Sandra M . Oa'(TM)Sullivan and husband John of Andover and Susan M . Picano of Gorham, ME. She was the sister of the late Walter and Joseph DeVenne, Barbara Anderson and Nan Shea. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Caroline, Patrick & Ryan Oa'(TM)Sullivan Olivia, Maia & Delia Puopolo and Anthony, Marco and Luca Picano .

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrik Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Interment will be held at Wood End Cemetery in Reading. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 311 Arsenal St. Watertown , MA 02472
