Ruby Picano

Ruby M. Picano of Reading, age 82 died Sunday June 19 after a long period of failing health. Born in Somerville on July 23, 1928 the daughter of the late Walter H. & Ruby B. (Wright) DeVenne. She was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She was an avid knitter and quilter. Mrs. Picano had been a Reading resident for the past 59 years.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Picano and the loving mother of Joseph Picano & wife Paula of Reading, Sandra M. Oa�(TM)Sullivan and husband John of Andover and Susan M. Picano of Gorham, ME. She was the sister of the late Walter and Joseph DeVenne, Barbara Anderson and Nan Shea. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Caroline, Patrick & Ryan Oa�(TM)Sullivan Olivia, Maia & Delia Puopolo and Anthony, Marco and Luca Picano.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrik Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Interment will be held at Wood End Cemetery in Reading. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 311 Arsenal St. Watertown , MA 02472
