Russell W. Cutter, 67, of Wakefield formerly of Saugus died on Sunday, November 4 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Lynn on August 26, 1945 he was the son of the late Amos F. and Helen M. (Ward) Cutter.
Mr. Cutter was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1963 and Bentley College, Class of 1967. He had been a Wakefield resident for the past 28 years. Mr. Cutter was a retired accountant for John Hancock in Boston and president of the John Hancock Retirement Club. He was a member and treasurer of St. John's Episcopal Church in Saugus. Mr. Cutter was a Past Master of William Sutton Lodge in Saugus and Past Patron of Tontoquon Chapter No. 100 in Wakefield, Order of the Eastern Star. He was an avid golfer, volleyball player and member of the Melrose Y.M.C.A. He enjoyed driving his motorhome to camp with family and friends, especially in Walt Disney World.
Mr. Cutter is survived by his wife Jeannine L. (Poti) Cutter, his daughter Elizabeth C. Littlehale and her husband Philip of Melrose and his two brothers; Amos F. Cutter, Jr. and his wife Nancy L. of Wakefield and Leonard O. Cutter and his wife Sonya of St. Augustine, Florida. He is also survived by his two granddaughters; Paige and Gwyneth.
A funeral service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, corner of Central and Prospect Sts in Saugus on Thursday at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday from 4-8. Both Masonic and Eastern Star memorial services will be conducted at 7:00. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
