Ruth Anderson

Ruth L. Anderson, 79 of Woburn formerly of Medford and Florida died Monday, September 14 at her home.

Born in Malden on November 3, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Louise C. (Muse) Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1953. She was also a graduate of Melrose Beauty Academy, Class of 1974. She had worked for New England Telephone Co. in Wakefield and Boston as a secretary. She had also been a former hairdresser and manager for Mecca Salon in Saugus for 25 years. Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham and was a member of the Stoneham VFW.

Mrs. Anderson the former wife of the late Joseph V. D'Agostino. She was the mother of Laura Ann Camuso and her husband Arthur of Woburn and Joseph Vincent D'Agostino, Jr. and his wife Colleen of Wilmington. She was the grandmother of Danielle, Jeffrey & his wife Joanne, Billy, Jacqui, Arthur Joseph, Michelle, and Joseph. She was the great grandmother of Isabella Rose, Taylor Ruth, Lilly, Andrew and the late Nathaniel Joseph Etter. She is also survived by her dear friend of Shirley Faretra as well as Bill W. of whom she was a proud friend for 26 years.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
