Ruth Rice

Ruth E . Rice , 95, of Wakefield died on Sunday, January 20 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose.

Born in Belmont of July 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth E . (Hatch) Foot.

Mrs. Rice was raised in Belmont and was a graduate of Belmont High School. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1948. Mrs. Rice had worked for L.B. Evans Shoe Company and was a member of the Lynnfield Art Guild.

Mrs. Rice was the wife of the late Philip W. Rice . She was the mother of Ruth A. Alessi and her husband Anthony of Wakefield, Judith E . Feener of Lynn and the late Phillip W. Rice and Janet L. Rice . Mrs. Rice was the sister of the late Arthur Foot and Evelyn Barnaby. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 11A.M. Visitation for relatives and friends will be at the Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 9:00 o'clock.

Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
