Ruth Lilley , 95, of Stoneham, died Sunday, April 27 at the Neville Center in Cambridge.
Born in Malden on May 19, 1918 she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine (O'Brian) Fleming.
Mrs. Lilley was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden Girls Catholic High School. After her retirement from New England Telephone, Mrs. Lilley worked for Marshall's in Woburn. She enjoyed gardening and time spent with her family at the beach.
Mrs. Lilley was the wife of the late James B. Lilley , Jr. She was the mother of David J. Lilley and his wife Karen of Belmont. She was the grandmother of Andrew Lilley . She was preceded in death by her siblings Robert Fleming, Thomas Fleming, Evelyn Fleming and Louise Blyth.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
