Ruth Watt

Ruth Elizabeth (Betts) Watt , age 93 of Peabody, formerly of Reading, died peacefully October 15, 2015.

Beloved wife of 61 years to the late William H. Watt . Cherished mother of William G Watt and his wife Sally Ann, Lisbeth (Betsy) Watt and Amy V (Vickie) Watt and her husband, Peter Noel. Loving Grammy to William (Jay) Watt , Michael Watt , Julia Noel and Eden Hudson. Great grandmother to Peter and Margaret Watt and survived by several nieces and nephews.

Born in Belmont in 1922, Ruth was a licensed RN, a 1947 graduate of Mt. Auburn Nursing School, working as a visiting nurse for several years. She devoted much of her time to volunteering, painting and studying The Infinite Way. She was a member of the International Toastmistress Club, the Reading Art Association, The Reading Garden Club and enjoyed teaching ceramics at Reading's Assisted Living Center. She will be missed by many. The family thanks the kind and loving caregivers of Braemore Gardens at Brooksby Village where Ruth resided since 2008.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 26th at 1pm, Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading, MA, followed by a Celebration of Ruth's Life at 3 pm in the Garden Room, Braemore Gardens at Brooksby Village, 104 Brooksby Village Dr. Peabody, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472 or the Salvation Army, Attn: Development, 25 Shawmut Rd.,Canton, MA 02021.
