Salvatore T. Vaccaro

Salvatore T. Vaccaro, age 80 of Lynnfield, formerly of East Boston, died on Tuesday, June 6 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born in Boston on September 29, 1942, and was the son of the late Charles and Jennie (DiPaolo) Vaccaro. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Tashjian) Vaccaro of Lynnfield. He was the loving father of Steven and his wife Lisa of Lynnfield, Jehan Storer and her husband Joe of Titusville, FL, and Anthony Vaccaro of Lynnfield. He was the grandfather of Anthony, Steven, Lauren, Bryden, and Gianna. He was the cousin of Robert Asci and nephew to Rose Kinnett. Salvatore is also survived by several nieces & nephews. 

Salvatore was a compassionate man, touching the lives of everyone he met. Sal and Lorraine founded ‘The Gold Mine’ in 1983, a family-owned company specializing in sales, repairs, and loans of fine jewelry. Customers today remember him because of his kindness and the quality of his heart. He treated everyone as if they were family. He was also very generous, contributing to many charities and organizations over the years. Two of his favorites were St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project. 

Funeral Services will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, June 13 with visitation for relatives and friends being held from 3:30-5:30 P.M., and services beginning at 5:30 P.M. A bereavement dinner will be held at 6:30 P.M. at Toscana’s Restaurant, located at 3 Bourbon St, Peabody, MA 01960.
