, 71, of Wakefield died on Friday, October 11 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Malden on January 6, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Hughes) Spera.
Sandra
was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1960. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 45 years and had retired from Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford as an Administrative Assistant.

. She was the mother of Joseph M.

of Wakefield, Steven

and his wife Laurinda of FL, Robert
Turcotte
of Wales, UK and the late Lynne Barber. Mrs.
Turcotte
was the grandmother of Griff, Megan, Elaina, George and Christina. She was the sister of Anne King and her husband John of Winchester, Janice Cusato and her husband Peter of Stoneham and Louis Spera and his wife Peggy of Medford. Also survived by her niece Natalie Cusato of Reading and Stephanie Doherty of Revere.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
