Sarah Zaya

Sarah A . Zaya , 96, a Wakefield resident since 1950, died on Saturday, February 9 at the Woodbriar of Wilmington.

Born in Everett on October 25, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Gaspare and Anna (Mazzo) Zaya .

Sarah was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. She was a retired seamstress for Jordan Marsh and a member of St. Florence parish in Wakefield.

Sarah was the sister of the late Frances Cardile, Agatha Piantadossi, and Anthony, John, Edward and Josephine Zaya . She was the sister-in-law of Jacgueline Zaya of Wakefield and Yolanda Zaya of PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 11 a.m. Visitation and relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield prior to the mass from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
