Scott Conroy

Scott E . Conroy , age 52 of Reading, formerly of Wakefield, died on Wednesday February 16 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Winchester on August 16, 1969 and was the son of Marilyn (Ormond) Conroy and the late Joseph Conroy .

Scott grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Austin Prep where he played basketball and football. After high school, he played basketball at Salem State College. Scott loved to make people laugh with his big personality. He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends and was always looking to get in another quick 9. He loved spending time with his kids, coaching them in both basketball and football. He enjoyed vacation spots in Maine like Ogunquit and Boothbay Harbor, and spending time at the family condo in Gilford, NH.

He was the beloved husband of Lynn (Ouellette) Conroy of Reading. He was the loving father Kelsie, Patrick and Trevor Conroy all of Reading. He was the brother of Stephen Conroy of Reading, Kevin Conroy and his wife Gail of Wakefield, Dan Conroy of Wakefield and Doug Conroy and his wife Chris of Wakefield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his former wife June Cahill of Reading.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday February 21 from 3-7 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Crystal Community Club, 77 Preston St., Wakefield on Tuesday February 22 at 1:00 p.m. All are invited to attend.
