Sharon Russell

Sharon E . Russell , 62, of Framingham died on Wednesday, August 26 at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln.

Sharon was born in Winchester on September 3, 1957 and was the beloved daughter of the late John I. and Mary E . (Stout) Russell .

Sharon was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1975 and later graduated from Salem State College in 1980. She had a career in the electronic sales industry. She had been a resident of Framingham since 1998. She was a lifelong sportswoman who was an avid tennis player, skier and golfer. In High School she played basketball, field hockey and tennis and was a 2006 inductee into Stoneham High School Athletic Hall of Fame. At Salem State, she played tennis and field hockey. She loved sports and was a longtime Boston Celtic's season ticket holder since the 1980's. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends with vacations down to the Cape, RI, North Conway, NH and Harrisville, NH. She adored all her pets and will sorely miss her cat, Savanna.

Sharon was the cherished sister of Andrea Green and her husband Laurence of North Reading, John Russell and his wife Janice of Stoneham, Lawrence Russell and his wife Lorene of Stoneham, Pamela Rotondo and her husband Robert of Peabody. She was the treasured aunt of Brandon, Allison, Juliana, James, Kyle, Tyler, and great aunt of Juliette. She was the loving niece of Evelyn Stout and the devoted lifelong friend of Tammy Saporito. She is also survived by her beloved cousins, her dear friends and her darling Savanna.

Her Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. Stoneham on Monday, Aug. 31, beginning at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home, on Sunday, Aug. 30 from 1-4pm.
