Sherin Shami-Campbell , 54, of Stoneham died on Sunday, June 5 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Damascus, Syria on November 16, 1956 she was the daughter of John Shami of Wakefield and the late Georgette (Bassaleh) Shami.

Sherin was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1975 and Middlesex Community College. She was a retired Executive Secretary at Hanscom Air Force Base. Sherin had been a Wakefield resident before moving to Stoneham in 2002. She was also a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield.

Sherin enjoyed reading and the art of needlepoint.

Mrs. Shami-Campbell was the loving wife of Robert Campbell. In addition to her father she is survived by her son Dr. Daniel J. Campbell of North Haven, CT and daughter, Lauren C. Campbell of Murfreesboro, TN and her brother, Dr. Noel Shami and sister, Therese Shami both of Wakefield. She was predeceased by her brother Said Shami.

Her funeral will be will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
