Susan DeVita

Susan C. DeVita, 68, a life long resident of Wakefield died on Monday, January 16 at Tuft's Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Melrose on May 7, 1943 she was the daughter of Maida (Purrington) Toth of Wakefield and the late John Toth.

Susan was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1961. She was a former florist for DeVitas Flower Gardens and was also a member of St. Florence Church in Wakefield.

In addition to her mother Susan is survived by her 2 sons, Michael DeVita of Gloucester and Stephen DeVita of Golden, CO. She is also survived by her siblings, Wayne Toth of Chelsea, Myron Toth and Douglas Toth both of Wakefield and Marsha Oakes of Sarasota, FL.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friend may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield prior to the mass from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
