Theodore J. "Ted" Maloy, 52, of Wakefield and York Beach, ME, formerly Melrose, died on Tuesday, January 15 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Cambridge on January 3, 1961 he was the son of Anne M. (Sullivan) Maloy of York, ME and the late Charles A. Maloy.
Mr. Maloy was a graduate of Melrose High School and Boston College. He had worked for Philips Medical Systems in Andover. Mr. Maloy was a referee for the U.S. Boxing Association. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending his summers at York Beach, ME.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Deborah A. (Hollis) Maloy, his son, Sean C. Maloy of Wakefield, his daughter, Kelly A. Maloy of Wakefield and his brother Stephen Maloy of MD. He was the Uncle of Daniel Maloy and Alyson Maloy.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale, Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
