Theresa Ward

Theresa A . Ward , 85 a Stoneham resident since 1955 died Monday February 20, at the home of her son Michael in Rocky Hill CT.

Born in Charlestown, on December 14, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Murphy) Sullivan.

Theresa was a graduate of St. Clement High School in Somerville class of 1945, where she was the Valedictorian. She attended Secretarial School in Boston and went on to work for Toledo Scale and MIT. Theresa was very active in Stoneham. She was involved with the Democratic Town Committee, the Register of Voters, New England Memorial Hospital, and Congressman Edward Markey's office. She was a devoted grandmother. She also enjoyed studying the family Genealogy.

Theresa was the wife of the late Henry J. Ward . She was the father of Michael J. Ward and his wife Krystyna J. of Rocky Hill, CT, Larry H. Ward and his wife Patricia of Exton, PA, John F. Ward and his wife Jane of Amesbury, Patrick C. Ward of Belmont, Maureen T. Nault and her husband Robert of Bradford, and Kathleen A . Coveyou and her husband David of Petosky, MI. Sister of the late Mary Shannon and Lillian Kesele. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Leszek, Eva, David, Christopher, Daniel, Bennett, Emma, Christina, Randell, Ryan, Keara, William, Andrew, and Patrick, and 2 great grandchildren, Isabella and Lucas.

Funeral from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment, Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
