Theresa Longo

Theresa J. Longo, 94, a life long resident of Wakefield died on Tuesday, May 1 after a brief stay at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Wakefield on February 16, 1918 she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Cicero) Cicciarella.

Mrs. Longo was raised in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School, Class of 1935. She worked a number of years for the L.B. Evans Slipper factory in Wakefield. She was also a member of the Wakefield Arts and Craft Society.

Mrs. Longo was the wife of James T. Longo for 66 years. She was the sister of Concetta Longo of Wakefield, Nancy Pasquale of Stoneham and the late Frank A. Cicciarella, Josephine Trozzo and Lena Moriana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including her niece Jean Anderson of Wakefield.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 11 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
