Theresa McGrath

Theresa L . McGrath of Derry, NH and formerly of Stoneham passed away on Thursday December 25 in Burlington.

She was born on June 27, 1930 and was the daughter of Joseph A. Surrette and Edith Mae (Vanemburg) Surrette.

Theresa was a resident of Stoneham and a graduate of Stoneham High School. She was retired form Marshalls Department Store.

She was the wife of the late George H. "Shorty" McGrath and companion of the late Eugene Towne. Theresa was the mother of George H. McGrath Jr. of Norwood, Carol A. Sweeney of Stoneham, Andrew Gould of Stoneham and the late William McGrath . She was the sister of Marjorie Vecchione of Stoneham, Barbara Tilley of Saugus, Mary Gallagher of Billerica, and the late Joseph and John Surrette. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Theresa's funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. Stoneham, on Thursday at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
