Therese M. DiBlasi

Therese M. DiBlasi, age 88, a longtime Stoneham resident, died on Saturday August 5th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

She was born in Boston on January 17, 1935 and was the daughter of the late John and Louise Giglio and the sister of the late John Giglio and his surviving spouse Marie Giglio.

Therese was raised in Boston’s North End. She attended Boston Public Schools, and earned an Associates degree in medical administration from Boston University. She was retired from New England Real Estate Directory where she was a regional sales manager. She was a longtime member of The Bear Hill Golf Club.  She was active in the Town of Stoneham serving on the Unicorn Recreation Commission, and served on the Water and Sewer Board.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank T. DiBlasi. She was the loving mother of Thomas DiBlasi and his wife Karen of Windham, NH and Maria Poole and her husband Daniel of Woburn, MA. She was the grandmother of Christie Poole, Paul, Alyssa, Jessica and Julia DiBlasi.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham on Thursday August 10 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday prior to the Mass from 8:30-9:30. Interment, Lindenwood Cemetery.
