Thomas Creed

Thomas M. Creed, 87, of Stoneham and a native of South Boston died Tuesday June 19 unexpectedly in Winchester.

Thomas was born in Boston on July 20, 1930 and was the son of the late Atty. Thomas N. and Elizabeth (Reilly) Creed.

Thomas was raised in South Boston and was a graduate of South Boston High School. He later went on the serve in the US Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. Thomas was retired from the US Post Office-South Boston Annex and retired in 1992. He was an active and devoted member of Saint Patrick Church, avid New York Yankees fan and a Big Band enthusiast. He also loved cruising and talking politics.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Anna E. (Laurano) Creed. He was the loving father of Sharon Morrissette and her husband David of Stoneham. He was the devoted "Pa" of Melissa Garside and her husband Shawn, Holly and Matthew Morrissette and was the adoring Great-Grandpa of Georgie and Charlie. He was the brother of Anne O'Donnell of Falmouth and her late husband Paul, the late Elizabeth Grant and husband Everett, Patricia Burke and her surviving husband Edward, the late Edward Creed and his surviving wife Mabel. He was the brother in-law of Rosemarie Rosa of Tewksbury and her late husband Ronald, Janice and James Falzano of Winchester. He was the great pal of Chardonnay. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham 10:00. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home Friday 5-8pm.
