Thomas Doran

Thomas J. Doran, Jr. of Lynnfield and formerly of Medford died Saturday August 20 at age 89. Born in Boston on June 6, 1922 he was the son of the late Thomas & Anna (Mulligan) Doran. Mr. Doran was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. He was a retired Lt. of the Medford Fire Department after 42 years of distinguished service. He was also a member of the Elks of Medford and Wakefield and was a W.W. veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
He had been a Lynnfield resident for the past 35 years.

Mr. Doran was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Cusack). He was the loving father of Sheila A. Condelli of Essex, CT, Cynthia M. Knauss of New Hampton, NH and Thomas J. Doran, III and his wife Mary Ann of Southlake, TX, and the late Christine Doran. He was the brother of the late Lillian Craig, Marie Dentali & Helen Colson. He was the grandfather of Dieter & Andreas Knauss, Joseph & John Condelli and Sarah & Anna Doran and the great grandfather of Lillian Grace Condelli. He is also survived by his long time companion Virginia Kautz.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Wednesday at 8:45 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church 441 Fellsway West in Medford at 10:00. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Tuesday 4-8pm.
