Born in Wakefield on December 6, 1922, he was the son of the late John J. and Ellen (Hourihan)

was a graduate of Wakefield High School class of 1940. He was the former Assistant Commissioner to the Mass DOT. Mr.
Hurton
had also owned an automotive shop in Wakefield.

was the devoted husband of the late Mary T. (Beane)

. He was the devoted father of

Hurton
and his wife Lynne, and Mary P. Nardone and her husband John all of Wakefield, Philip M.

and his wife Jane of Hopkinton, Barbara Drewes and her husband Kenneth of Phillipston and Lois Dishmon and her husband Charles of Templeton, and the late Paula
Hurton
. He was the brother of Mary Vandewalle of Wakefield and the late John
Hurton
. He was the devoted grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 9. Funeral services will be private.
