Thomas Geoghegan

Thomas F . Geoghegan , 84, a Wakefield resident since 1949, died on Tuesday September 21 at his home.

Born in Winchester on June 15, 1926 he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Dunnigan) Geoghegan .

Mr. Geoghegan was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1944. He was a navy veteran of World War II. Before his retirement he had worked as a custodian for the Greenwood School in Wakefield.

Mr. Geoghegan was a member of St. Florence parish in Wakefield.

He was the husband of Henrietta (Yazinka) Geoghegan and the brother of Mildred Schroeder, Florence Hieder, Barbara Carlberg, Margaret DuLong, and the late John "Buddy", James, and Patrick Geoghegan , Mary Abreau, Catherine LaDelfe, and Helen Bruno. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
