Thomas Ferrante

Thomas Carmen Ferrante , age 88, of Stoneham, died Friday, April 17 at the Lahey Clinic and Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Cambridge on August 15, 1931 he was the son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Donatelli) Ferrante .

Tom was raised in East Boston by his grandmother, Cecilia alongside his younger brother Danny. He worked tirelessly to create a successful transportation company. However, his real joy came years later when driving the last of his medallions, which he kept for fun. He was the self-proclaimed "ambassador to the city," as he loved to meet lots of new people and explore the city with them. He was an avid traveler and loved to try new things whenever he could. A family man from the beginning, he put his children at his center, always aiming to give them the world. His smile, singing and sense of humor could elevate the mood of any room. No one ever heard him complain or saw him get angry, which we can only hope to exemplify through his legacy. Charming and charismatic, an unapologetic flirt to the end, handsome and kind, he will be so greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

He leaves behind his brother, Daniel and wife Maria of Revere; his four beloved children: Bonnie Limoli of Merrimac, Toni Belding and her husband Ray of Boxford, Tina Endicott and her husband Jim of North Reading, Todd Ferrante and his wife Virginia of Gloucester; his eight grandchildren: Michael, David, and Deborah Limoli, Michelle Paulding, Ashley McCarthy, Zack Endicott, Devon Champlain, and Cord Belding; five great grandchildren: Anton and Zoe Limoli, Olivia and Dylan Paulding and Gennaro McCarthy; as well as many other extended family members. He was predeceased by his former wife, Vivian (Everard) Ferrante .

His Funeral Services will be private. A future celebration of life will be held when it is safe to do so. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 or to a COVID-19 relief fund of your choice.
