Thomas W. Kearney, 80, of Danvers formerly of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, May 12 at the Academy Manor in Andover.
Born in Boston on February 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Thomas V. and Madeline (Ramsdell) Kearney.
Mr. Kearney was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1957. He had been a resident of Danvers for the past 13 years. Mr. Kearney served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a retired machinist for General Electric in Everett & Lynn and was an active member of the Local Union IUE 201.
Mr. Kearney is survived by his wife Anne E. (Coughlan) Kearney his three children; Laura Williamson and her husband Timothy of Danvers, Sean Kearney of Boston and Anne Cucinotta and husband Joseph of Danvers, his three grandchildren; Thomas & Kathryn Williamson and Mary Cucinotta, his two sisters; Eileen Rothfarb of CT and Marion Schraub of CA and his brother Robert Kearney of Carlisle. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary Kearney, his sister Judy Ward and his brother Daniel Callahan.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover.
Funeral services will be private. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
