Thomas Sentementes

Thomas J . Sentementes , 86, of Wakefield died at his home on Wednesday March 19.

Born in Stamford, CT on March 26, 1927, he was the son of the late Peter Daniels and James and Helen (Verses) Sentementes .

Mr. Sentementes was raised in Stamford, CT and graduated from Northeastern University where he earned his undergraduate and Masters Degree. He had a long time career for G.T.E. Sylvania of Danvers and later served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Mr. Sentementes was also a holder of multiple patents. A WW II Navy Veteran, Mr. Sentementes enjoyed many summers at Camp Ellis in Maine. He was an active member of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Woburn and was especially active in the Retired Men's Club of the church.

Mr. Sentementes was the loving husband of Eleanor (Karadimos) Sentementes . He was the loving father of Christopher J . Sentementes and his wife Becky of ME, James T. Sentementes and his wife Cindy of CA, Elaine Lucas and her husband Jon of Winthrop, and Ann Corcoran and her husband Dan of Winchester. He was the brother of Michael Sentementes and Catherine Capitali and the late Demetria Condaris, George Sentementes and Pearl Giancotti. He was the loving Grandfather of Amy and Zachery Sentementes , Daniel and Thomas Corcoran and the late Callie Sentementes .

His funeral Service will be held in the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave. Woburn on Monday at 10:00 o'clock. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service beginning 9:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to The MGH Heart Center Fund. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
