Thomas Wholley, Jr.

Thomas F. Wholley, Jr., age 68, of Methuen formerly of Wakefield, died Wednesday, December 26 at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Born in Boston on August 13, 1950 he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Ruth (Powers) Wholley.

Mr. Wholley was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1968 and Lowell Technical Institute, Class of 1972. He was a former Wakefield resident and was a member of St. Joseph Parish. He worked at VHB in Watertown for many years as a civil engineer and retired in 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Denise A. (Sarro) Wholley, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. He was the loving father of Melissa S. Rivers and husband Michael of N. Andover and Scott T. Wholley and wife Cheryl of Rhode Island. He was the brother of Nancy Dionne and her husband William, Janet Wholley and her partner John Burke, JoAnn Pisacreta and her husband Robert, Kathleen Corso and her husband Robert and the late Michael Wholley and his surviving wife Lynn Wholley and the late Robert Wholley. He was the adoring Papa of Max Rivers, Mia Rivers and Abigail Wholley. He is also survived by his dear friend Paul Bedard, as well as many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-6pm.
