Velma Martino

Velma A . Martino , 80, of Wakefield, formerly of Malden died Wedenesday, January 7 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Malden on March 22, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pierina (DiTratano) Santoro.

Mrs. Martino was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1948. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 9 years and was an avid Bingo player.

Mrs. Martino was the wife of Alfred John Martino . Mother of Paul Martino of Waltham, Linda O'Brien and her husband David of Malden and Jean D'Addario and her husband John of Peabody, sister of Teresa Figelski of Malden. Olga Foti of Medford, and the late Anthony Santoro and Anna Agresta. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10 o'clock . Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
