Victor Garbenis

Victor A. Garbenis, 80 of Amesbury and formerly of Wakefield died at the Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport on November 1. Born on July 10, 1932 he was the son of the late James and Martha Garbenis. Mr. Garbenis was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He was a retired contractor and also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict with the Navy SeaBees.

Mr. Garbenis is survived by his 4 sons, Victor J. Garbenis of PA, Michael P. Garbenis, Glen Garbenis and Keith A. Garbenis of Peabody. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Tuesday Nov. 6 at 11:00. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9am. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.
