Virginia A . Donahue , 70, of East Kingston, NH, formerly of Stoneham, died on Tuesday, April 9 at her home.

Born in Somerville on September 17, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Edna F. (Sullivan) Brogan.

Virginia was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston. She had worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for over 20 years. She had been a Stoneham resident for over 30 years and an East Kingston, NH resident for the past 10 years. Virginia was an active member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham for many years and while living in New Hampshire she was a member of St. Michael Church in Exeter where she participated in Bible Studies.

Virginia was a very active grandmother, spending time with her grandchildren, and also enjoyed traveling with her friends.

Virginia was the wife of the late Robert J. Donahue and the mother of Mary Theresa Condon of Stoneham, Robert Donahue of Woburn and Christine Howarth and her husband Will of Stratham, NH. She was the sister of Marilyn Sheehey and her husband Thomas of Medford and the loving grandmother of Jalen and Callum Howarth and Griffin Condon. She was the aunt of Diane Sheehey of White Post, VA, Thomas Sheehey of Malden and Derek Sheehey and his wife Shauna of Medford.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St, Stoneham at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friend will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
