Virginia F . McCullough, 85 of Wakefield died Saturday January 23, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. Born May 10, 1924 she was the daughter of the late George and Madeline (Joyce) Farnham. Virginia was a graduate of Wakefield High School class of 1942. She was an active member of St. Florence Parish where she was a member of the Sodality. Virginia was a retired secretary for Shelmar and Service Pump and Drain. During World War II she was a member of the USO Entertainment. She especially enjoyed her monthly meetings with her high school friends that was known as, "The Club". Virginia was the wife of 61 years to Jerome T. McCullough. She was the mother of Linda L. Cooper and husband Paul of Boxford, Jerome T. McCullough Jr. and wife Kathleen of No. Reading, Patricia M. Dunn and husband John of Beverly, Elaine M. McCormack and her late husband Sean of Danvers, and Joanne M. Albarelli and husband Gary of Brandon, FL. She was the sister of George Farnham of Naples, FL, Rita Willett of Lynnfield and the late Robert Farnham.Virginia is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews The funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave,. Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday 4-8pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
