Virginia F. “Ginny” Henderson, age 77, of North Andover, formerly a longtime Stoneham resident, died February 5, 2023.
Born in Winchester on June 24, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Robert Parker and Eleanor (Barry) Chase.
Ginny was raised in Stoneham and attended St. Patrick’s Schools before graduating high school from Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield. She later attended Boston College School of Nursing. Ginny was very artistic and loved music, especially playing guitar. She was a fierce defender of women’s and equal rights; but above all, she loved her family and dear friends more than anything and was entirely devoted to her four daughters.
She was the loving mother of Karen L. Higgins and her husband Richard of Reading, Kerry A. McAuley and her husband Sean of Reading, Beth E. Henderson of Leominster, and Robyn L. Henderson of Oakland, CA. She was the grandmother of Ryan P. and Hayley E. Higgins, Alyssa L. Halbert and her husband Josh of Alexandria, and Alexander T. Colella. She was the sister of Martha Oloff and the late Robert P. and Daniel B. Chase. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be at held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday from 10am-12pm followed by a Funeral Service at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm . Ginny was a long time patron of the MSPCA and adopted her beloved LuLu there.
