Virginia C. "Ginny" Moriarty , 86
Wells-Virginia C. "Ginny" Moriarty (Cooke), 86 of Wells, ME formerly of Naples, FL. and Wakefield, MA, died late Saturday evening on March 12, 2022.
She was born in Boston, MA, on February 24, 1936, the daughter of the late Percy S. and Dorothy M. Cooke (White).

She grew up in Winchester and was a graduate of Lasell, in Newton. She met her husband, Richard P. "Rich" Moriarty , who predeceased her, at the Winchester Boat Club. They married on June 23, 1956. Together they purchased a home in Wakefield, MA., where they raised their four sons.
Ginny, was a sports fanatic as a participant and observer. She was very athletic, and her favorite sports were tennis and golf. She played tennis actively until she moved to Florida in 1993. She then committed her time to golf and was a member of The Stonebridge Country Club. She was a competitor and was quite proud of her two "holes in one". She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She loved the beach and enjoyed her summers on Drakes Island, in Wells and after her husband's retirement in Naples, FL, where she lived for 17 years. She had a sweet tooth and loved to make desserts and particularly her brownie pie which was a favorite of family and friends alike. She was also known to move all the furniture around in the house every couple of months. A tireless mother to her four sons, somehow finding time to get them all to their sports and maintaining the house and cooking.

Ginny was predeceased by her brother, Richard S. Cooke. She is survived by her four sons, Donald Moriarty and fiancé Michelle Skinner-Walker of Derry, NH, Thomas Moriarty and wife Maria of Key Biscayne, FL., Wayne Moriarty and wife Jo-Ann of North Reading, Mass. and Richard P.
