Vittorio Filippone

Vittorio A. Filippone, age 84, of Lynnfield died Saturday, January 14 in Danvers.

He was born in Boston on November 18, 1932 and was the son of the late Antonio and Teresa (Tancredi) Filippone.

He was raised in East Boston. He attended the Franklin Institute of Boston and also MIT. He was a resident of Lynnfield for 42 years and was the owner of Filippone Contracting of Lynnfield.

Vittorio was the beloved husband of Elena L. (Zambello) Filippone. He was the loving father of Vittorio R. Filippone of NH., Lucille A. Sirois of Merrimac, Maria Bruinsma of Lynnfield and Jude B. Filippone of Maine. He was the devoted grandfather of eight: Billy, Angel, Michael, Colin, Samantha, John, Jesse, and Tanner.

His Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Assumption Church, corner of Salem and Grove Sts., Lynnfield at 10:00. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
