Vivien K. Kharibian, age 78, of Peabody, formerly of Medford, died Monday, June 17 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Gloversville, NY she was the daughter of the late Earl and Doris (Stoller) Weymouth.
Vivien was raised and educated in Gloversville, NY and at the age of 21 moved to Boston. While at work, at the age of 22, she met Ronald D. Kharibian and after three short months of dating, they were married. In 1966 they moved to Medford and raised their family. They remained in Medford until 1991, after which, they moved and settled in Peabody. Vivien had worked at Raytheon for 17 years before retiring in 1992. She was known for her great sense of humor and love of a good practical joke. She also loved spending time at the family cottage in Sanbornton, NH; but above all, cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of Ronald D. Kharibian, with whom she shared nearly 57 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Katherine K. Prasad and her husband Sunil of Wakefield and Karen A. McGonigle and her husband Michael of Peabody. She was the cherished grandmother of Shyla E. Prasad and Jordan A., Keeli N. and Logan S. McGonigle. She was the sister of Ruth Breland of Kingston, NY and the late Paul Weymouth Eden. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces & great great nephews.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday from 4-8pm.
