Walter Shedd

Walter C . Shedd , 66, of Melrose formerly of Wakefield died on Sunday, October 6 at his residence.

Born in Malden on November 8, 1946 he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Cameron) Shedd .

Mr. Shedd was raised and educated in Wakefield. He had served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Shedd was the owner of the Wakefield Answering Service.

He is survived by his four children; Kimberly Childs and her husband Billy of Stoneham, Corey Shedd of North Reading, Amanda Ellis of Haverhill and Ashley Shedd of Pennsylvania, his three sisters; Linda Shedd of New Mexico, Nancy Shedd of Wakefield and Martha Shedd of New Hampshire, his two brothers; Arthur Shedd of Florida and Frank Shedd of New Hampshire. Mr. Shedd is also survived by his four grandchildren; Ava, Isabella, Dylan and Avery. He was predeceased by his two brothers; Robert Shedd and Daniel Shedd .

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mystic Valley Elder Services, 300 Commercial St., # 19, Malden, MA 02148.
