Walter Morton

OBITUARY


Walter Morton , 96, of Wakefield died at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on Friday, September 14th.

Born in Boston on September 26, 1915, he was the son of the late E. William and Kerstin (Ekelund) Morton .

Walter was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1933 and Tufts University class of 1937. He had been a Wakefield resident since 1942. Walter was the oldest living member of the Bear Hill Golf Course in Stoneham where he had been a member since 1952. He was retired from Exxon Oil as a Chemical Engineer.

Mr. Morton was the husband of the late Helen J. (Toth) Morton . He was the father of Stuart Morton and his wife Carolyn of Calais, VT and Stevia McQuillen and her husband Dennis of No. Reading. He was the brother of the late William and Clifford Morton . He was the grandfather of Matthew, Erin, Katherine, Adrienne, Samantha and Stevia and is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Miles and Simon.

Funeral Services were private. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, MA 01880.
