Warren Gerade, Jr.

Warren C . Gerade , Jr ., 85, a long time resident of Wakefield died on Thursday, November 25 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Wakefield on October 17, 1925 he was the son of the late Warren C . and Pearl (Gibson) Gerade .

Mr. Gerade was raised in Melrose and Malden and had attended Malden Public Schools. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired foreman for the former Wakefield Bearing Company where he had worked for 45 years.

Mr. Gerade was the husband of the late Alice M. DelRossi. He was the father of Susan Gerade and Donna Gilroy both of Wakefield, Warren Gerade III of Danville, NH and Jeff Gerade of Hillsboro, NH. He was the brother of Paul Gerade of Wilmington and the late Marge Bernard and William Gerade . He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at noon. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
