Wilbur Penniston

Wilbur T . Penniston , 92 a longtime resident of Lynnfield died Sunday October 7, at the Salem Hospital.

Born in Hooker, Oklahoma on August 18, 1925 he was the son of the late Theodore and Jennie (Gibson) Penniston .

Wilbur was raised and educated in Glendale, CA, where he later enlisted and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Wilbur was retired from the former Eastern Airlines where he had worked as a Rampman for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara D. (Lee) Penniston; his two sons, Robert J. Penniston and his wife Nadine of Methuen and Michael F. Penniston and wife Sandra of Saugus. Wilbur is also survived by his granddaughter Dawn Penniston Murray and her husband Lucas of Hingham, a great grandson Finnegan M. Murray her great grandaughter Quinn H. Murray and a step great granddaughter Lanna Quairoz.

Private funeral services were held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
