William Bain, Jr.

William R . Bain , Jr ., of Sterling formerly of Saugus and Somerville, died on Wednesday, January 10 in Sterling.

Born in Somerville on June 23, 1952, he was the son of the late William R . and Alyce E. (Hamilton) Bain .

Mr. Bain was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1970. He was a retired Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Medford, Arlington and Belmont. Mr. Bain was a big history buff and an avid Patriots fan.

He was the husband of the late Lisa (Woodbury) Bain . He was the father of Michael and Matthew Bain , both of Topsfield and the late William P. Bain . He was the brother of Joanne Giroux of Sterling and the late Beverly Bain Reilly. He was the brother-in-law of John Reilly of Wakefield. He was the grandfather of McKayla Bain of Saugus and Abigael Bain of Gloucester, and Michael Jr . and Nicholas Bain , both of Salem, NH. He is also survived by nieces, Colleen Reilly Saengvanich of Tewksbury and Marcelle Giroux Doherty of West Boylston.

Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, January 16 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the McDonald Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18 at 11am. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
