, 89, of Wakefield died Tuesday, January 12 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Woburn on November 10, 1920 he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Bozzoni)

Mr.
Pepe
was a graduate of Woburn High School. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and had served on the USS Weeden DE-797. Mr.
Pepe
was a retired Lieutenant for the Wakefield Fire Department serving from July 24, 1955 to October 15, 1980 and had been promoted to Lieutenant on April 18, 1974. He was a member of the West Side Social Club in Wakefield.

is survived by his son

of Wakefield, his two grandchildren; Scott

of Wakefield and Kathryn Muise of Ipswich, his two sisters; Louise Ferullo of AZ, Teresa Kenney of Woburn, his siter-in-law Mary

of Woburn, his loving companion Lorraine Bernat of Stoneham, his life long friend Vienna
Pepe
of Wakefield. He is also survived by his two grandsons; Tyler Roberts and Zackery

. Mr.
Pepe
was predeceased by his sister Rose Ficocello and his seven brothers; Joseph, Anthony, Lewis, George, Frank, John and Arthur
Pepe
.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
