William Campbell

William F . Campbell , 78 of Exeter, NH, died Monday October 27, at the Exeter Hospital.

Born in Medford June 17, 1936 he was the son of the late Cornelius and Margaret (Manning) Campbell .

Bill was a graduate of Medford High School class of 1954. He served honorably in the Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1992 after a 35 year Supervisory career with the M.B.T.A in Charlestown. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed golfing in New England and in Naples, Florida. He had been a resident of Exeter, NH for the past ten years and had previously lived in Stoneham, Lynnfield, and Middleton.

William was the beloved father of Sandra A. Burke and husband Kevin T. of Wilmington. He was the brother of Mary C. Flagg and husband Harvey L. of Ayer, and the late Doris Cunningham, Kenneth Campbell , and Elden Campbell . He was the loving Grandfather of Kendra L. Burke, and Kevin T. Burke Jr. He is also survived by his loving companion Barbara A. O'Neill of Centerville and many nieces and nephews and close friends.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
