William Curry

William F. Curry, 89, of Middletown, RI and formerly of Wakefield, died on Saturday, November 23 at his home.

Born in Boston on March 4, 1924 he was the son of the late William F. and Helen (Gately) Curry.

Mr. Curry was a graduate of English High School in Boston. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Curry was a retired supervisor for New England Telephone Company. He was also a member and past knight of the Wakefield Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Wakefield Finance Committee.

Mr. Curry was the husband of the late Evelyn M. (McCready) Curry. He was the father of Mary Kager and her husband Thomas of Middletown, RI, Diane Crowley and her husband John of Wilmington and the late Nancy Curry. He was the brother of Katherine Kelly of Quincy, Patricia Leary of FL, Ann Perneta of Holbrook and the late Marie Lindley, Edmund Curry, Ellen Curry and Joan Puopulo. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Saturday at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the church prior to the funeral from 9:30 - 10.00 o'clock. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
