of Wakefield, age 66 died Wednesday April 14 after a lengthy illness. Born in Chelsea, MA on April 8, 1944 he was the son of the late
William

. & Anne (Babb)
Baxter
. Mr.
Baxter
was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1962. Mr.
Baxter
was a Sheet Metal worker and was a member of Local # 17. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam era aboard the USS Yosemite. He was a member and Past Post Commander of the Wakefield V.F.W. He was also a member of St. Florence Church and was President of the Cosmopolitan Square Dance Club.

is survived by his wife Bette (Doyle). His two daughters, Kristin Diloreto and Rachel Fabiano & husband Michael all of Reading. His two sons,

, III & wife Victoria of Middleton and Jeffrey
Baxter
of Wakefield. He was the brother of John
Baxter
& wife Carolyn of Methuen, Andrew
Baxter
& wife Sherie and Jean Diaz all of FL and the late Annemarie
Baxter
. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Robert, Kasey, Corey, Riley, Abigail, Katherine, Charlotte, Michael, Aubrey, & Stephen

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Monday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1-5 pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.
