William Martin Dougan

William M. Dougan, 87 a longtime resident of Saugus died Saturday August 26, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. 

Born in Lynn April 1, 1936 he was the son of the late Vincent and Margaret (McDonough) Dougan.

Bill was a graduate of St. Mary’s  High School and also attended Salem State College. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. Bill was a retired Lineman for Mass Electric.

He was the beloved husband of Connie (Cucurullo) Dougan, and the loving father of Shawn Dougan and his wife Patrice of Arlington, Mark Dougan, Kimberly Dougan, Kelly Dougan, and Tracy Dougan all of Saugus. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Megan, Madison, Maxwell, Robert, and Courtney.

His funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday September 5, at 7 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 4-7 p.m.
