William Gwynn

William S. Gwynn, 77, of Lynnfield, died on Friday, August 9 in Lynnfield.

Born in Boston on April 30, 1936 he was the son of the late Frank and Eleanor (Kelley) Gwynn.

Mr. Gwynn was a graduate of Boston Latin High School, Class of 1954, Northeastern University and Vesper George School of Art in Boston. He was the former owner of Carr Leather Company in Lynn. Mr. Gwynn had served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Laing) Gwynn, his two daughters; Kelly A. Gwynn and her husband Jeff Newsome of Salem and Kristine M. Marengi and her husband David of Lynnfield, his son Michael P. Gwynn and his wife Sheila of Amesbury and his sister Geri Basmajian of Texas. Mr. Gwynn is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Gwynn and his two sisters; Joy Kennon and Honey Gwynn.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 7pm. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
