William Jordan

William F . Jordan , 84, a lifelong Stoneham resident, died Friday, June 6 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Stoneham on February 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Martin and Helena (Doherty) Jordan .

Mr. Jordan was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1949. He was a retired foreman for the Stoneham Department of Public Works. He was a member of Redmen Hall and had also been a member of the Stoneham Housing Authority for over 20 years. Mr. Jordan was active with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Mr. Jordan was the husband of Joan (Maillett) Jordan with whom he had shared 57 years of marriage. He was the father of Mary Lou Roche and husband Charles of Wakefield, Ellen Waszak and husband Stephen of Chelmsford, Carolyn Parece and husband Mark, and Patricia O'Donoghue and husband Sean all of Wilmington, William Jordan and wife Lisa of Stoneham, and the late Martin Jordan . He was the brother of Elizabeth MacDonald of Stoneham and the late Martin and John Jordan , and Theresa Finn. He was the grandfather of Jessica, John, Kelsey, Shannon, Michelle, Cherie, Emily, Alison, Whitney, Jacqueline, Melissa, Meghan, and Amanda.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
