William Santoro

William D. Santoro, 77 of Melrose, formerly of Wakefield died Saturday June 2, at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born in Melrose, January 9, 1935 he was the son of the late Samuel and Beatrice (Davies) Santoro.

Bill was a graduate of Wakefield High School, and Brewster Academy. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W. Post in Saugus. Bill was the former owner of Santoro's Sub Shop.

He was the father of Deb Goss and husband Richard of Dracut, William Santoro of Colorado, Rochelle Nazarian and husband Kevin of Boxford, Anthony Santoro and Fiance Romina Rinaldi of Woburn, and the late David Santoro. Brother of Deanna Palmer and husband Neil of Saugus.He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren; Ara, Adara, Ani, Anthony, Alexan, Lorena, Veronica, and Ricky, and 2 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at noon. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral Home on Wednesday prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12.

Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
