William Williamson

William Williamson , 86, of Wakefield, died Thursday, September 23 at the Woodbriar of Wilmington.

Born in Royalton, IL on September 15, 1924 he was the son of the late Archibald and Anne (McKeown) Williamson .

Mr. Williamson had been a Wakefield resident since 1990 and had been a long time resident of Cambridge. He was raised in Jamaica Plain. Mr. Williamson had retired from the Jordan Marsh Company. He was a World War II Army Air Corp. Veteran.

Mr. Williamson was the husband of the late Rita R. (Kharibian). He is survived by his son William Williamson and his wife Julie of Seattle, WA, his two daughters; Ruth Ann Puppo and her husband Steve of Lynnfield and Janice Williamson of Wakefield and his brother John Williamson of Buzzards Bay. Mr. Williamson is also survived by his four grandchildren; Nicole Griffin and her husband Dana, Mark, Elena and Ashley Puppo and Anne Williamson and his two great grandchildren, Cooper and Cash Griffin.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption, corner of Grove and Salem Sts. At 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 311 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA 02472.
